He lives in our kitchen so while he might get a hot pulling out a rack there has been no damage... well I guess he could fall in a pot of spaghetti and become a red squirrel however I don't foresee too many bad things happening to him.
I'd like to see an outdoor version one of these years just to see what the outside squirrels think of him.

It would appear that I was mistaken and that the goats companion in the first photo is actually a skunk.
We did not have skunks in Vancouver when I grew up but my mother tells me they have them there now.
There are no skunks on Vancouver Island. We do have urban deer and raccoon, and occasionally a cougar or a bear but they are not encouraged to stay.

Never said squirrels raised on hickory or beech nuts weren't tasty. But if you live in an area that has squirrels running around the houses you quickly learn they are like rats. They will eat or try to eat almost anything. They will go or get into almost anything and the multiply like rabbits.
I have fixed more damage done by squirrels than any other creature. They love the plastic on electrical wires and will chew the wire bare until the get shocked to death or start a fire that burns the house down.
Store seed or grain and you will have a constant fight to keep the squirrels out. I have seen squirrels hurl their bodies almost unbelievable distances landing in all sorts of ways just to get to bird feeder. And they will do it over and over until they succeed.
The chew through hoses just see what is inside. Will eat lead as if a delicacy and will wreck a car parked where they can get to it for a few days.

The goat got his ears today. Should make the wife happy as she wanted them. Here it is out by our butterfly bush/strawberry box showing off his ears.

The skunk is now black but I'm having a problem locating the stencil that I have for the white parts. I know I saved it but that was a couple of years ago and it could be in any of a number of locations. Being black it is a lot easier to figure out what it is but when I add the while everyone will know.
