Well I got my hands on a nice vintage Rockwell Lathe so I no longer need this project in my life

Will sell for the gas it cost me to get it. At a very min, you will need to score a new casting for the pivoting point and a new motor. This thing needs alot of work. $60 takes it or $30 & 4, 4-packs of redbull lol

It is in pieces. No delivery, Local Pickup in Manteca California Only.
Hopefully one of you will find a use for this.

I am picking up my Lathe on Saturday, so if it is not gone by then I will sell it for scrap. Take all or none, sorry I need the room.

Tim I mean no offence to the SS, It is just not my thing. I really like vintage cast iron tools. I love tearing them apart, and the challenges that come with that. Then rebuilding them into something that far surpasses the quality of their modern counter parts. The SS is a bit to "plug and play" for me I guess. Plus, space is not an issue for me. Living in California, I don't really garage my cars. So my two car garage is dedicated to being a workshop. For me, having seperate tools and diffrent work spaces, is more efficent. My plan was to build the SS into a nice lathe set up. But the amount of money it will cost, exceeds the cost of the lathe I have aquired. So it is also a economical choice. The vintage Rockwell I purchased comes with a stock pile of extra parts, as a duplicate was scarficed for this purpose. So it will take alot less time and money to get operational.
