Hello All,
Dad,sadly enough, has left me his shop smith, mark v. I have been cleaning it up and checking everything out and cannot seem to figure out how the the power plant attaches to the band saw? I have mount locks but they do not fit each other. Can any one tell me which ones I need to order? thanks for your time, William

The following link shows the power coupler and hubs that are needed to attach the bandsaw to the Shopsmith headstock (power plant).

This one shows the bandsaw mounted on the left end of the Mark V with the table saw sitting to the right side of the headstock. The power coupler for the bandsaw is in between the bandsaw and the headstock.

I'm sorry your father isn't there to help you with this. Please don't hesitate to seek assistance here; it is the least I can do. Good luck in your efforts to put dad's Shopsmith back into productive service.

FYI, in addition to the prior posts, sometimes a very old bandsaw is sitting on "straight tubes" rather than eccentric-offset tubes; see item 51 in the drawing here:

If you have the correct eccentric tubes, then your bandsaw can be adjusted both in height and in horizontal offset, to line up just right with the upper left output shaft of the Mark V powerplant.
