Why on earth a was Craftsman miter gauge used in the segmented pix.

Looks interesting. Do you think it's as good or better than the Incra miter gauge? The segment version seems worth the money to someone that does a lot of segmented turning or multi-sided frames, etc.

Both of the MiterSets work wonderfully well. 12 degree accuracy. one od the best buys I've ever made. Here's a post from a few years ago.

Doggonnit Maybe someone here can explain why it is necessary to measure angles in 10th of degrees???

I have had excellent experiences using only 1/2 degree increments. I use the "MiterPro" for all angles other than 45 degrees. The MiterPro is manufactured so we can set the miter gauge to the nearest 1/2 degree. Here is a post from 2009 where I made an 11 segment frame (just for kicks) using the MiterSet. EDIT: Did the math - The angle is 32.7272727272... degrees.

O.K. - I hardly ever rip bevels or tilt the table, but isn't the need for accuracy the same for bevels as it is for miters?
