Shopsmith Edition Incra I-Box Box Joint Cutting Jig

Post by drdale »

Does anyone know if the Shopsmith Edition Incra I-Box Box Joint Cutting Jig will fit and function on an old Mark VII?

I have a similar question on this same thread: I bought a Incra I-box on-line, however it was not the SS edition. Will this still work with the SS? I haven't opened it up yet probably could return it. If not I'd like to take advantage of the sale happening now.

This is my first post and I'm new SS owner, operator. Made some magazine holders last weekend as my first project.

The Mark VII slot is the same as a Mark 5 or V 500. Same width as 505-515, but without the t slot grooves in the bottom.

The 'standard' model Incra has a slightly wider bar(3/4").

Incra can accommodate you, chief but your miter bar is too wide for use on the Shopsmith. If you can, I would suggest that you return it and start over with one from Incra (the sale item). If this can not be made to happen, contact Incra and explain your situation. I believe they will make it all work for you. Incra customer service and their willingness to accommodate is superb.
