Spyder double-sided jig saw blades

Just when you think you have seen it all someone comes up with yet another idea to check out.

So I needed a couple of jig saw blades so I go to the hardware store and I see these being offered. Like it says, teeth on both sides??? OK they are cheap enough for me to buy a pair so I do.

Haven't had time to check them out but I figured maybe someone here has already given them a go. Anyone?

My first thought when I saw the tiny teeth on the back side was what does that do help it go around curves better? Sure enough the package says tight radius cuts clean. Outside curves OK but inside curves and those back teeth will cut into the work piece.

One of the things I have to check out is what happens with the saw when it has the faster cutting angle set, the cut will not have the blade vertical but at a tilt. That could be interesting. I'm also not sure how my Porter Cable jig saw will like the backwards cutting..... It has the blade tilt feature but I'm not sure it will lock vertical????

If the jig saw has an 'orbital' stroke, those back teeth will be cutting(trying) on the up stroke.
