Sharpening with Belt Sander

I have seen some discussion about using the SS Sharpening Guide on the Belt Sander table. Haven't been able to figure it out. Any one have any pictures of the set-up? Maybe I should finish the on-line video on the strip-sander sharpening guide but was wondering if it would work for skews?

Hi Ed! No pictures of it in my computer, but there is a picture in PTWFE.

Yes, I only use the Sharpening jig on the belt sander. It's easy to set up.
Just make sure you have a fine grit belt on the machine. Then set the belt in the vertical position, and set the table at right angles to the sander's platen. The plastic clamping bar on the sharpener fits perfectly into the miter bar groove on the belt sander's table. The table gives you all kinds of options as, (you know this) it can slide in and out toward and away from the table. This makes it possible to set the jig at any angle you wish.

Hi Ed! Here are a couple of photos of the sharpening jig, as used with the belt sander. As you can see, I pulled the jig back a bit so the tools don't over reach. In these photos the jig is set at 10 degrees. I am using 150 grit aluminum oxide sanding belts. Got them from SS.
