If the SS 10" crosscut blade and the Forrest 10" crosscut blade (for example) both have 5/8" bores, why would they require different SS arbors? The SS blades require 1 1/4" (length) arbors. Why wouldn't the Forrest blade use the same SS arbor? What am I missing here?
Thanks!
Aha! I see where the confusion lies now. I was (without taking a measure) incorrectly assuming that SS arbor diameters and blade bores were 5/8" rather than 1 1/4". So then, for a Forrest blade I would need a SS #555608 5/8" Saw Blade Arbor. For a SS blade I would need a #555130 1-1/4" Saw Blade Arbor (for my SS model 510). Thanks for clearing the cobwebs and for your kind assist.

They don't have the same bores. The length of the arbor has to do with the model 500 vs the 510+. The table is bigger so the arbor must be longer. The diameter is the same.
All SS blades have a 1 1/4" bore (hole). The industry standard for 10" diameter and below saw blades is a 5/8" bore (hole). SS sells an arbor for their blades (1 1/4") and they sell a 5/8" arbor for use on non SS blades.
What is your confusion? Please explain.

Thank you for clearing my cobwebs. I mistakenly assumed (shoulda just measured) that the SS blades had a 5/8” bore rather than a 1 ¼” bore. I understand now that SS blades require a SS #555130 1-1/4" Saw Blade Arbor while many other blades (including Forrest) require a SS #555608 5/8" Saw Blade Arbor. (I have a SS model 510.)
