I must admit that I enjoy having a second machine, my Shorty, in the shop. However, I survived quite well for nearly twenty years with only one machine. Admittedly, those were all younger years when changeovers and going vertical for the drill press were not quit as challenging.

My advise -- don't rush to get a second machine. If you need one that will become apparent. Only you know for sure what is best for you.
