Bought a Shopsmith Secondhand its a 520
Hi my name is Miranda, I am excited to start using my shopsmith. I have planned to start with making a fence to go around our heat/air units. I am waiting for my workshop to be finished, before I put it out there. I am missing
the rip fence (520), I am still hoping that the fella that sold it to me will find it in his storage unit keep your fingers crossed for me:) . Otherwise does anybody know of one for sale?

Glad that you found our site! This is the best place to get your questions answered. Just so that you do not start off on the wrong foot, please be advised that ShopSmith does not condone the buying and selling of their or any other company's products on this forum. They have deleted threads that make such requests. I believe that the SSUG web site does, however (allow sales talk). You can talk about buying ShopSmith items from ShopSmith. That is why I can tell you that you can buy a fence from SS for your 520. Just phone 800 543 7586.

FIRST thing is, don't turn the speed dial while the SS is turned off. Second thing is, clean, wax and lube it. Any questions feel free to ask.

Hi Miranda! Welcome to the Forum, and hope you find your fence soon! At least a minute before your shop gets finished. When you have some computer time view the Sawdust Sessions http://www.shopsmithacademy.com/Sawdust_Sessions.htm , look over the Forum, and like the other guys said - ask any questions you might have.
