They may not be selling them any more but they have not removed them from the online catalog. This is one of the problems with not having a paper catalog to distribute. People who might be customers don't know what is available. Browsing thru the paper from time to time filled that information gap.
While the information may be available via the web site, I find the web site difficult to negotiate. Example being the link in this post. I looked in the online catalog for "Miter Pro" and found nothing. I then searched, using the known part number and found it. A "might be" customer may not know the part number of the item he wants to buy. Viewing the "pictures" in the paper catalog does it all.
From "Products" tab on the SS.com home page, click on 'Sawing' then click on 'Miter Pro'.
Not only is the part number not needed, but also the 'name'.

Well Dusty you are not the only one who misses the days of the catalog, I do too. It was always an exciting time when you brought in the mail and there was the latest and greatest new Shopsmith catalog. Then there was the setting with it and going page by page, turning each one with anticipation of what was next.... yes those were the days my friend.
For me these pdf catalogs are just not to my liking. I have a stack of catalogs by the bed side and I find it relaxing to page through them when I'm at the end of the day and still not quite ready to sleep. A lot of folded back corners and some of them do end up in purchases.
I remember when my kids were growing up saving up three Christmas catalogs so they could each have one to look at and then passing them out, then the excitement when they found this or that and had to show me..... what do parents do now a days? It was such fun.
