Guys, will someone tell me, when Mom is no longer
building M5s and M7s without using Model 10s?

Kinda like Elvis's 61 Caddy. When you have the best,
who cares about the rest.

Supposedly, this singer bought his mother a car, right
after he got out of the Army. Mom didn't like it.

Cut to 2016. A '61 Caddy was in our shop, to get
seals on the engine and trans changed. Rumor said,
we had Mom's Caddy. Eldorado, Biarritz model. Yes,
it is pink. Paint was crazed, (very tiny cracks) but it
made the car look better, for some reason.

Tried to find a picture, but no luck.

10 ER, stripped down.
Basic 10ER, Parts machine. Will be a semi-dedicated drill-press machine.
10 ER, a "survivor" of the trailer fire, in the back yard, needing restoration. Has a Mk5 headrest. Finally, stripped down.
Numerous parts, for Model 10 stuff. Except for lower saw guard, A and B adapters, I've got it.

Looking for one more, or some 9 inch extension table raisers.

The point I was trying to make about Amazon and other successful companies is there customer service and shipping is usually outstanding. Anticipation and planning for inventory and shipping must be as important as the manufacturing of the product itself. Actually Shopsmith could benefit with input from someone like Marcus Lemonis (The Profit) on the process of running it's business. I think most of us here believe in the product but would like to see the company that is more responsive to customer service needs but also looking to the future with new innovative products. With the internet, youtube etc the possibilities are endless for a company like this. A series along the lines of The New Yankee Workshop featuring Shopsmith products with a how to use the product to create useful projects could benefit not only the company but those of interested in woodworking.

Shopsmith rose from the ashes when John Folkerth saw the possibilites, and took a chance, I think the best years for production was in the 80's, but things turned lean for all businesses in 2007, in 2008 John died, in 2009 the company filed bankruptcy, but with restructuring it continues to exist. Huge inventories are very hard for a company to maintain in this day and age. Be happy Shopsmith even exists, a company that still supplies parts for machines that are 60 years or older is rare. We have been spoiled by "I want it NOW!" attitude, and by being led to believe that is the way it should be, relax and count your blessings that you can get parts at all, Imagine NO RLF Brands - NO Shopsmith at all. Rejoice and be happy!

Timing is perfect, I am in the middle of a restore upgrade on my 81, read post about it here.

Nice--my order from three weeks ago (not PowerPro) just shipped today. Strip Sander + Chisel Sharpening attachment, from the sale they ran, and a bunch of other stuff. Two items are out of stock, though, and I assume will ship later...they show expected in-stock date of August 1st. :(

Eh, it's no Amazon speed, and kind of frustrating that all the e-mail specials seem to be out of stock when I order them, but some of the things had later expected in-stock dates and so this is still sooner than I was expecting.

Can't wait to see your PowerPro all installed and humming!

I just put an order in on 4/22 and it shipped complete on 4/26. It included two somewhat low inventory items, I believe. One is the tailstock chuck arbor and the other is the strip sander access door with labels.
No problemo

I remember when I was a kid and wanted to mail order any of the goodies kid's fall prey too.... You know, the stuff they used to sell in comic book ads... The standard phrase was ,"Please allow six to eights weeks for delivery".
We've come a long way!
