Outstanding news! :D :D :D

Now maybe we will start (slowly) to see the end of "may be back ordered or made upon ordering" and the end of "not currently available".

Depends on the rules/criteria of Franchisor.
Maybe the Admin will chime in and give us some insight/info on it.

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them. :)

I cannot tell from the announcement whether this new Shopsmith-Woodcraft partnerhsip is limited to demos, or whether Shopsmith products will be stocked and sold at some Woodcraft franchises.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. On the one hand, the price of a Mark 7 won't look out of place at a Woodcraft when it is sitting next to other high-end, like-priced quality woodworking machinery (I can already hear Ed in Tampa typing up his response :D ). So compared to a Lowes, the Woodcraft partnership makes sense.

On the other hand, a lot of Woodcraft customers are tool snobs who aren't likely to buy a product that they can't brag about to their fellow tool snobs. And we all know there is a lot of (undeserved) anti-Shopsmith sentiment out there among the tool snobs.

Time will tell.

Create the columns in a different application. Excel spreadsheet, Word table, or whatever.
Copy them with the snipping tool.

Judging from their posts on various forums, those "tool snobs" are often comparing high-end standalone machines to what they've heard about the limitations of 50 year old Shopsmiths. Seeing a Mark 7 up close and personal might just turn on a lightbulb or two.

Having encountered an irresistable bargain, I personally own a top-of-the-line Powermatic tablesaw. It does exactly one function better than my 520. :D And it takes up more space.

A bit of a turn on the thread, but WC brand I think Green/Wood River, or what ever there name brand is, had a lunch box 13" lunch box planer, Helical head about a year ago special $349, my nephew, he bought it, now WC has discontinued it. Go figure.

We are excited to announce, Shopsmith is working with Woodcraft. Most details are in our blog post http://www.shopsmith.com/news_blog/2-gr ... ationship/.

Initially, we are testing with demonstrations in their Atlanta (April 29 and 30th) and Dallas (May 6 and 7th) stores.

Most of Woodcraft's 72 stores are franchised, but we plan to work with both corporate and franchised stores. After the two test demonstration locations, we will present results and more information to Woodcraft's franchisers at an upcoming Woodcraft national meeting.

The current plan is for 2 to 3 day demonstrations (similar to our current demonstrations). It is still too early to know if we'll be able to extend into any stocked items in the Woodcraft stores or service centers.

Hopefully this will become a map of Shopsmith locations in the not too distant future.

This is exciting news. What a come back story this could become.
