On the Grayling at moms I have a SS jointer and Band Saw. It is a PITB to flip them when needed. Since I am in to Cocktail hour and have not given it a thought through, can I add another Head Stock, put it on backwards from normal, and run the BS off of it on the other end, and run the jointer from the other one on the left side, BS would be on the right side but that HS would be on the way tubes backwards?? I guess what I am asking will the rotation be correct for the BS?

I don't see why that wouldn't work. I'm having a hard time visualizing rotation right now, so I'd need to actually look at it in my shop, but if it reflects what I'm picturing in my head, that should work.

Thanks all, ya that is what I will do, the Jackass backwards!!! Then I wont have to do the exchange each time. Taking the Grayling Deputy up to the
nephews, and bring back the greenie and fix up the motor that just hums and reverse it on the tubes for the BS.

Maybe, my concern is unjustified. It sounds to me that you plan to reverse the headstock while keeping the bandsaw on the left side of the maintenance hole. As long as you put the bandsaw on the left side of the operational side, you will be fine. The rotation of the quill should rotate toward the operator. If you put the working end of the quill toward the bandsaw, I see the rotation being backwards and your bandsaw will be running backwards. The blade on the bandsaw should be coming down in the open section. That only works if the back end of the headstock is driving the bandsaw as so clearly stated by JPG.

My point is mute if the motor is reversible.

Wanna reconsider that? The back end cannot face both SPTs unless there are two headstocks.

Yes a reversible motor eliminates the need for two headstocks, but only one SPT run at a time.

Since speeds need to be different . . .

JPG, my thought is put on another HS backwards and run the BS mounted on the right side with the inverted HS. I did it mentally to day B4 cocktail time and it will work and fit with 2 and the table in between if so desired.

Be sure to include coupler lengths in that mental exercise.

Not sure what the table would add to the utility other than a horizontal surface.(band saw table extension)

I got the couplers in there, no spell check on couplers even on Lenix!! a bit tight, table was for disc sanding, but then, after posting the last, looked over my other shoulder, and said, Mike, that is what one of those ERs are for.
Wood working is so easy with a few SS in the shop, and on the used market so cheap, not to mention the quality and ease to fix/refurbish the product.
