I think Shopmate was a Shopsmith brand some time ago.
Did they not offer a shopvac called a Shopmate before the DC3300

I have the ShopMate shopvac. Have been using it since I bought it new in 1985 and it still works as well as the day I bought it. It does a passable job of dust collection on things that have a 1 1/2" connector (such as many CM Saws). Since I got a "real" dust collector I use it mainly for clean up but it still does dust collection duties on occasion.

The ShopMate was made by ShopVac and was sold by Shopsmith for several years as I recall. As with other things Shopsmith sold it is a well built, quality product as proved by my heavy use of it over many years.
