Nice, and Dole got out of the 2 year Pineapple crop decades ago in Hawaii and went to the 6 month Bananas crop instead.$$$$$$$

found some pine in my late grandfathers shop, i wasn't sure what to do with it until i found the Woodsmith 225 plans for the tool tote, now i have an awesome heirloom tote to care my stuff around that i know was made from the skills my grandfather taught me and wood from his shop. Finished with 3 coats of poly. still need to do drawer pulls but for the most part its done

its actually not to bad, the parts are planed to max of 1/2", so it saved "some" weight there...ill have to weight it all loaded up

Super nice tote. Great job. Do you plan to put some sort of pulls on the drawers? I would put some latch on them and use those spring loaded magnets to keep the drawers in place. Again, really nice box and job.

Now for a submission of my own. This is part of a local wild persimmon and I thought I had a piece without those little bugs that bore holes and leave their residue. This is not sanded, the dark end is coated with mineral oil to see what it looks like when oiled. This was debarked and rounded with a roughing gouge and shaped to 2.25 in. with a skew. Then I noticed it had split badly. I need to learn how to dry without the bugs and cracking. I had painted the ends and knots with latex paint. So, here is the pic of one of the 3 pieces of wild persimmon.

Not fine woodworking but it got done quick and it has a gavel like appearance and should work fine for a presentation in front of a gathering. Hey don't judge me........
