Another use for the label maker
Have you ever had to find the right power adapter or charger? Grab the label maker and name them! I was wondering why my Trend Air Shield would not take a charge, and after the stories about their battery problems (which I have never experienced), I was worried. Cleaning up the shop I came upon my label maker and decided to organize a bit. Wouldn't you know it would not turn on! Guess what, I had the adapters switched. They look EXACTLY the same. Won't happen again!

Re: Another use for the label maker
Great idea, a friend did that years ago.
BUT Label makers tape is way $$$$. He owned his own business and could write it off.

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them.

Label makes are cheap(under $30 gets you a pretty good one). The tape is not, 3 cartridges was about $40 the last time I got them.
I was just under my computer table this morning and wishing I had some of the labels that go on cords and cables. The phantom power supplies I have labeled but which of the power cords goes to what that is another story.
Have to dig out the paper work and see what tape I need to do that job.
Counted 11 cords and 5 wall warts. So that is a lot of unlabeled cords. Winter project or perhaps a late fall cold wet rainy day event. Today I just did a very basic rearrangement by powering everything down and then moving stuff around. Next time I want to label things.

Lead in the marker? So you can use your x-ray vision to read the label when it is plugged in.JPG wrote:.label maker.jpg

Well Wednesday here in the Milwaukee, WI area, is suppose to be an ugly fall day, 47* and hard rain. I love wireless!! Still need to plug it in but no connecting cables.reible wrote:Label makes are cheap(under $30 gets you a pretty good one). The tape is not, 3 cartridges was about $40 the last time I got them.
