MK V Table Raiser on the 10ER

Post by jsburger »

Today I removed the table raiser from my dedicated MK V drill press to do a fit check on my dedicated 10ER drill press. I am happy to report it works perfectly and does not interfere with the height crank. The only thing you have to do is reverse the brackets. Since the 10ER table/carriage is heavier than the 500 table/carriage I would use the 510/520 table raiser. The bracket screws are self taping. That is fine for the aluminum castings of the MK V. The same screws can be used on the 10ER but because it is cast iron I would drill and tap the holes.
