10ER guidance/videos

Post by timsmore »

I just picked up an ER I believe and it seems to be working fine. Is there a site where I can get guidance on how to use the different tools and such? The disc sander is currently on it and I would like to learn how use the lathe. Thanks

And if all that still isn't enough info, there's a treasure trove of original publications from Magna Engineering over at VintageMachinery.org.

I just picked up a 10er as well, as far as I can tell I got pretty much everything with it that the original did way back when, some of the stuff has been packed away since 1990, I'll have to see if I can find a sale date with the other paper work that I got with it. I'm not sure if the pic will show up or not, but it needs cleaning, but it works.

What did you Pay???????
It is pretty clean, the tubes are not a rust pit, jig saw, AND a coveted Speed Changer, they go for 175$ on E bay alone.
You did real good.
2 sites here I highly recommend Skips balanced pulleys.

Pics of some of mine, and just went over the painted surfaces with 0000 steel wool with mineral spirits and waxed, tubes on one were spun on the greenie and polished and sealed with Pentrol. never touched the original bearings in the head stock, no need to.
