Posting a link to Google album

Can anyone help me? I want to post a link to a Google photos album. Copy / paste doesn't seem to work here. I seem to remember I could do this before..... .????

It takes an extra step or two with the new forum software. First, click the button to go to the "Full Editor and Preview" window. Once there, click in your text to place your insert cursor where you want the link to appear, and then click the URL button. That will insert the control codes you need. If you want the link to show verbatim, just place your insert cursor between the two control codes, and paste the link. The inserted link should look like this:

You can also show text of your choosing, instead of showing the link verbatim. If you hover your mouse over the URL button, a tool tip should pop up that shows the alternate syntax.

Either way, the Preview window will show how your link will look in your actual post, and also let you test your link before posting.

I was able to post the link, however the link that I picked up directly from Google Photos still wouldn't paste (on iPad). I pasted it in a blank email and re-copied it from there and then it would paste into the post.
iPads do some strange things when it comes to the "paste" function.

FWIW, copy/paste works fine here.

The above link was copied from Firefox URL window and pasted in the standard forum edit window with no special code. Maybe the type of forum view makes a difference.

Right, I have no problem with copy / paste of a link other than one directly from Google Photos.
I don't even need to tap the "URL" icon. Indirectly (as above) even those paste just fine.
