improvise, overcome, adapt

Post by stevespix »

There is a wealth of knowledge out in this forum. Many thanks to John Burger for giving me advice on mounting a wixey readout to my pro planer. His pictures and advice made the job really easy to accomplish. My real point here is the wealth of knowledge that exists in this forum and how we help each other out in our hobby. I'm sure I would have figured it out eventually but with a few pictures and some helpful hints it shortened the learning curve for me. I for one really appreciate when you guys adapt and tinker with stuff to make it work better or for a different purpose than designed for. Keep it up, it helps us who are less inventive. From my buddies who are Marines, the motto seems to work here Impovise, Overcome, Adapt.

I liked Heartbreak Ridge, but I liked A Few Good Men even better. The Jack Nicholson line, "You can't handle the truth." says so much about the people in the US today. Rather than dealing with the truth head-on, they hide behind excuses like Political Correctness.

'PC' is 'BS'.

Call a 'spade' a spade, not an entrenching tool.
