Was reading some woodworking related info on Wikipedia tonight and that ran across info on Shopsmith.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RLF_Brands
In part it reads " Around the end of 1981 McGraw-Edison sold its power-tool division to Shopsmith, Inc.. Shopsmith liquidated the inventory and started to manufacture "Benchmark" products"
Was wondering what kind of power tools McGraw-Edison sold and Shopsmith liquidated. Also what kind of tools did Shopsmith manufacture under the Benchmark name?
Always been interested in the history of woodworking tools.

As in the notion, all that glitters isn't gold, not all named Benchmark tools etc. manufactured were done by the Company Shopsmith Inc.
There were a host of knock-offs as well.
