Ya could use 4x8 pvc sheets .

The only thing I've really made for the yard is mushrooms out of pine tree rounds, and little posts to keep the garden hoses from catching on stuff when dragging them through the yard. Turning the mushrooms in green pine is always fun. Just make sure you have a shower curtain up if they are just cut!
