Neat,,,,I wonder how long he could hold it there or how even his twist was from one end to the other.

I have the Rockler Steam Bending Kit now and will attempt some steam bending of the parts I want to make.
Tomorrow or maybe Sunday I will be making the box. If people are interested I can take pictures along the way. Nothing fancy, just a box for steam bending and I will be making it out of pine.
So if you have interest let me know or I'll skip the pictures and just make it.

I've done a bit of bending using oak. I didn't have access to a steam bender so I simply soaked the strips in hot water for a few minutes before shaping it. It worked just fine that way.

Has anyone tried this "cold bend" hardwood product.

I have only found one company the offers this compressed hardwood product but it definitively appears to be an alternative to steaming it yourself. Down side is it is expensive and has a shelf life. Just something to consider if you don't already have steam bending equipment.
