Motor rewinding shops used to be a cheap alternative for a lot of special motor needs but just like steak now being cheaper than bologna... motor rewinding is now more costly than new stuff... :rolleyes:

I did not equip with Shopsmiths in spite of the setups but because of them.
1 1988 - Mark V 510 (bought new), 4 Poly vee 1 1/8th HP Mark V's, Mark VII, 1 Mark V Mini, 1 Frankensmith, 1 10-ER, 1 Mark V Push-me-Pull-me Drillpress, SS bandsaw, belt sander, jointer, jigsaw, shaper attach, mortising attach, TS-3650 Rigid tablesaw, RAS, 6" long bed jointer, Foley/Belsaw Planer/molder/ripsaw, 1" sander, oscillating spindle/belt sander, Scroll saw, Woodmizer sawmill

So do you wish you had stayed with the hogs instead of hosses?;) Or is my ignorance showing(beef bologna!).

After all the 'bologna' is 'processed.:D

Doesn't that cost $?

I really love the horses, I never even "liked" the hogs. Just the income from them back then.
Yeah, the bologna is "processed" but I have been in packing houses... Can you say "floor sweepings"... :D

Always wondered what they used for 'seasoning'.:rolleyes: I know what they use(used to) for 'casings'!:eek:

Can a 110V Mark V model 510 be converted to 220V?

Not unless it has a dual voltage motor(very scarce).
