To upgrade my Cast Iron "Tabled" Bandsaw or not?

I think that the only person capable of answering that is the persons footing the bill for the cost of an upgrade.

I could ask: Is it worth it for me to buy the Kreg Fence for my bandsaw?

Is the Kreg Fence worth what it costs? Yes, if the Kreg Fence gives you a capability that you do not have with your existing fence AND you need that added capability.

I do not, thus I do not owe a Kreg Fence.

Maybe I am just too pragmatic!

PS I just reread the thread and I realize now that ed in Tampa was not referring to enlarging the bandsaw table but rather to a suggestion from Nick on how the useable table surface can be increased using extension tables and tubes. Sorry.

The new table would make the bandsaw lighter to lift if that is an issue for you.

I have received the guidance that I needed but the "other" questions that Dusty posted would be interesting discussion as well.
I've seen the extended table that Rockler advertises and I'd agree with Ed. If I'm going that route then I'd use the Mark V to make my own extension.

I'm going to stick with the Cast Iron table for now and that decision has allowed me to prioritize other ShopSmith equipment for my next purchases.
I have an entire house to redo with furniture (at least one bed, pantry, and kitchen cabinets.) and storage boxes that need built. (My sweetie is a rather introverted lady that loves to buy books and movies.) I'd like to build the individual storage boxes for magazines which is why I'm interested in re-sawing and planing. I'd like to have a handle on all this by the time I graduate.
