Online Documentation is Certainly Improved

I couple years ago I would have said that the documentation available from Shopsmith was grossly lacking. That is no longer the case. The team at Shopsmith has been working hard to improve what is being made available to the online and/or forum viewer.

One example that I just came across is the documentation on the dial indicator. I have the indication and have been satisfied with it but this document shows a couple ways that I never thought of using the dial indicator.

I've been using that list of documentation for quite a long time and find it very informative. Usually I can find what I need there, and when I can't, I pull out my Shopsmith manuals and find the rest of what I need.

I knew the list existed for several years but in the beginning it was very limited. Admin has done a great deal of work on all of the documentation that is now available. The quality has improved immensely as they get onboard with current technology.

What I particularly like is that more and more of the user manuals are becoming available as PDF documents.

Thanks Dusty. I just came in after re-reading a section of the DC330L Dust Collector Manual where it mentioned the product manual was on line. A typo but the DC3301 under "Our New Products" is actually the DC330L that JPG had asked about.

Welcome improvement, BUT, who is the idiot who illustrated/added accessories and descriptions to the end of the DC330L manual that clearly only apply to a DC3300?

The handle would attach to the 'side' and be of little use on the DC330L.

The gates likely would work on the DC330L, but it would be more appropriate to illustrate them on a DC330L.

It may be improved but I think it's kinda cheesy they sell many manuals instead of being able to download them at no charge. The only part they sell for the old jigsaw is the manual. Downloaded manuals lead to parts sales....

I noticed that page 4 of the DC330L on-line manual is labeled as page 5. I sent an email to Shopsmith asking if there is a page missing or page 4 is just mis-numbered.
