It's been a year since Bill passed away. Was lucky enough to know him & spend time with him and his wife over the years at their home. He taught me a lot: how to modify a motor by digging out the start winding & add a DPDT switch to permit reverse mode as well as forward.
Bill left a shop full of stuff (bearings & new/used parts) which someone wanting to get into rebuilding Shopsmiths would need. Believe I counted 13 motors alone- 2 with the fwd/rev switch mod- they all run. Then there are more, as well as, some DC motor controllers & motors. He has a stack of manuals, catalogs, & much more. Problem is there is so much.
