Tap tap tap... Is this thing on?
OK, I read the Chris Craft post, now what am I going to do for the rest of the day???
There are way too many members here for things to be this dead. Thousands and thousands of members but only a few dozen posting lately?
Is anybody else doing anything?
Maybe everybody is busy mowing grass. I would cut grass but my zero turn didn't come with snow tires, tire chains or a heated cab.
What are you doing this week?.

Well I just woke up from a long winters sleep and am almost done building this woodsmith project. I have been needing one of these for a long time now.

I'm watching my all-winter accumulated snow piles finally start to shrink a bit. Maybe in another month, I can see my yard instead of seeing snow.

I also followed a Woodsmith plan but made the headboard an inch taller, the width about 2.5" narrower, and the length 1" longer than the plans indicated. The wood came from a cherry tree that I cut and milled in 2015 with my chainsaw mill. For fun, most of the crosscutting/ripping/tenoning and all of the routing/chamfering/drilling was done on the Sawsmith radial arm saw that I've pictured here before. I used other tools, too, including a CNC to make the center rails, but it's mostly a Sawsmith project.

Gluing up a rifle case lid. While it cures, a trip to town for a new cell phone...maybe.

Killing time until my better half moves some of her plants out of my workshop. Made some minor adjustments to my socket set box.

This weeks non woodworking project is building a 6’ diameter raised bed vegetable garden. This one is just about finished. Good workout. Was about 280 stones and 1 yard of topsoil so far. Still have to build the half clamshell covers for the bird and shade netting.
