New ShopSmith Owner!

Post by csxeng »

Hi Everyone!
My name is Dave. I'd like to say thank you for excepting me to the form. I have just purchased a model 10ER with Serial# 15858 which would place it in Sept, 1949 production. This machine was purchased from a close friend of mine and his pops had just passed on recently. He was the original owner. Here is a picture of it.

Welcome to the forum. Your machine will clean up nicely. There are a lot of 10ER information here and many 10ER users. Do not hesitate to ask any question.

There is a group for especially 10ERs on Yahoo. It has been there many years and is a treasure trove of info. And get that baby restored and you'll be surprised how much you enjoy it. I am the owner (the second) of a 1953 10ER and use it constantly. It was my only Shopsmith for many years and it did all I asked of it.

After a few weeks of work I was able to pick a new color and clean her up a bit. There are a lot of accessories that need cleaning and polishing next. Two old relics!

I like the color -- not typical but very nice!
