Time to set the drawers and doors to finish the island.
This is a base I built while you wern't looking.
This consist of 3 cabinets, two panel ends and a back panel along with the base.

Looks almost as good as my Sketchup model.
If you use Sketchup and haven't tried Sketchup Viewer it is hand to have on a tablet or phone for shop reference.

Mark, you do the best work ! Good seeing you take the time to share your expertise ! Is your “new” Powerpro unit still getting it done ?

Yes Bill it hasn't given me any trouble and I use it for something almost daily. Love the power and smoothness!Billdit wrote:Mark, you do the best work ! Good seeing you take the time to share your expertise ! Is your “new” Powerpro unit still getting it done ?

It is so nice seeing these units come together. I hope you show them after the finish has been applied, too. They look awesome and I wish I had the skill to do the quality work you do (and your awesome shop).

Re: Another Day at The Office
I'll try to get pictures but 99% of the work that I do these days is for a larger shop. I build the jobs and drop them off to their finishing shop and they take it from there. I rarely get out to a job site which is fine with me!WileyCoyote wrote:It is so nice seeing these units come together. I hope you show them after the finish has been applied, too. Re: Another Day at The Office
No problem I'll just glue the new template to a board and save it until the next change.
Next step is to drill 1/4" holes in the template on the Mark 7 to accommodate a Vix bit.
And finally cut the notch in the template to align with the front of the cabinet.

Re: Another Day at The Office
The lower hinges have to be offset to clear the bottom tray.

Re: Another Day at The Office
A little specility drilling for the doors.
No it just looks like a mistake!
This is called a bi-fold hinge.
All ready to install onto the cabinet.
