Of black squirrels white deer....

I was back in my home town the last while and always found it interesting that they have black squirrels and white deer.

We have a mix of black and gray squirrels down here. But no white deer.

Forty something years ago, I spent a semester of college at Argonne National Lab near Chicago. There were white deer, which had been imported by the previous owner of the land, all over. Maybe the Wisconsin white deer were at one time part of this herd of deer.

There's a town a little ways NE of Indianapolis with black squirrels. Also, the town of Olney, IL, has white squirrels. Cool stuff!
