Folding Adirondack chair

Last Thursday, I shattered my wrist falling on ice. I will be getting new hardware installed Friday to fix the breaks. In the meantime, I am searching for folding Adirondack chair plans. Does anyone know where they may have seen similar plans?

Ouch!!! Sorry to hear about your accident, and I sure hope that everything heals up OK.

I recalled seeing a folding Adirondack chair project posted over at Lumberjocks.com. So I just did a search there, and found several of them — see if the search-results link below works for you. I gather from the search summaries that Veritas has plans for sale.

I recall seeing a book on chairs the last time I was at woodworks that had a lot of plans in it .

Hope the healing goes fast. The cover article on the new Woodworker' Journal (April 2019) is on a folding Adirondack chair. I have not had a chance to read the issue yet.

Sorry about the fall. I walk the dog 4x a day and my big worry is falling. Like many in our area, I've got an ice dam this year, so I'll have to try negotiating a ladder this weekend - agh!!!!

The way to eliminate ice dams is ventilation. Once heat passes through the insulation, if trapped, it melts the snow where it runs down slope to the soffit where it then freezes. Once through the insulation, that heat will only cause problems(heat buildup under the snow). Yes the trapped heat decreases heat loss through the insulation. So it is a choice - good ventilation and increased heat loss or ice dams.

Thanks to everyone for the information you have provided. I did have the surgery yesterday. I now have a metal plate and nine screws holding my wrist together. I figure I'll have some permanent loss of motion, however I don't plan on it affecting life in the shop. Now, on to the plans.
