Shop Smith 10E

Post by Mnikoley »

Hello,
I inherited a 10E from my father in law. All I ever saw him use it as was a drill press. I was looking it over yesterday and noticed that it will go from vertical to horizontal. Had the thought that it may be a lathe as well. Did some research and sure enough it is. Question is if there’s any documentation or manual available so I can see how it works. Also, can parts still be found for these? I’m not sure if mine is a ‘47 or 50’s.

Thanks.

If it is a 10E it is before 1950. Go to the Maintenance and Repair topic and at the very top you will see Shopsmith Large Format Drawings, Illustrations and More. Everything Model 10 is there.

Welcome to the Shopsmith Forum. The link John gave you has digital copies of Owners Manuals. There is also a Digital Copy of the 1st edition of the book Power Tool Woodworking for Everyone which features the Model 10ER. If you have any additional questions about parts, what is missing or how to do something, just ask. Pictures are helpful in describing your questions and we always like seeing what anyone has.
