Re: Mailing list sign up
My current old IPad won't download Firefox. I have a new IPad ordered and will be delivered in a few days. This might be the problem. I will address it again after I get new IPad and see what happens. I will let y'all know and appreciate all input.

Re: Mailing list sign up
IIRC I get that pop up after either cleaning out cookies or signing on to forum after previously logging off or powering down. I seem to recall some random occurences as well though seldomly.
Using "shopsmith' and firefox.

Re: Mailing list sign up
I get it occasionally but I can't tell you when or where. Click out and GO. Hope this is the most significant issue that you might have.

Re: Mailing list sign up
I usually clear my web browser's cache each month. When I do I have to resign in to the Shopsmith forum. I always get the sign up for email pop up. I just hit the X in the upper right corner and it goes away. It may come back two or three times that initial session after signing in to the forum but usually that is it.
I find that the Shopsmith forum is one of the few forums that retain sign in info in the browsers cache. Since the SS forum is the only forum I have to re-sign into after clearing cache. Clearing cache restores millions of bytes of disk space and keeps my machine running at normal speed. The minute I sense a slow down I delete cache and speed away.

A 'feel good' PITA as far as I am concerned. It does nothing that I can see to improve 'security' since they provide a path around it via e-mail.
