Lining up table saw blade with wood mark

Post by bainin »

New SS owner here and new to woodworking in general.

I spent some time aligning the axis of rotation to my miter slots , table, cross-cut sled, miter gauge, etc...and now I'm ready to saw some wood :)

In previous lives using hand tools, I would make a line on the wood and would eyeball the blade to hit the line or just outside.

I'd imagine there is a better way to go about this on a tool equipped with its own table and I'd appreciate some hints about how others go about it.

Thank you !
