Here is the Lower Saw Blade Guard (505628) with the extension and a "Wobble" Dado Blade (12 060) installed on my Mark 7. It will work the same on the old Mark VII, a Mark 5/V or even a Model 10.

When using the 505506 5/8" Universal Arbor or as it is named now the 5/8" Molder/Dado Arbor do not use the spacer or either of the two machined washers on the the Blade Assembly. If you are using Version 4 of the 5/8" Molder/Dado Arbor P/N 505506 which is the current version you will need an extra 5/8" washer between the Dado Blade Assembly and the lock washer to go inside the recess. The threads start further out on the shaft on version 4. The Machined washers that come with the arbor have too large of an O.D. to fit inside the recess. I would recommend using Arbor 505506 version 1 to 3 or any earlier 5/8" universal style Arbor (P/N 126-1X, 12 031 or 22 031) that was made before 1964. Note that P/N 126-1X and 12 031 do not have lock washers which would be desirable.

Make sure you have a complete "Wobble" Dado Blade Assembly that includes the 5/8" bushing and the washer that goes over the end of the bushing inside the recess opposite the Headstock side of the Blade Assembly as shown below.

Since there has been some interest in this thread based on the views I wanted to add a few additional thoughts that others may find useful.

garys post provided a link of a previous post about arbors. There were questions about older arbors I believe are worth commenting on. The two PDF's below are about all the arbors made for the Shopsmith tools that I have found and I believe the list is complete.

The "Wobble" Dado Blade dates back to the Model 10's and was mounted on the 5/8" Arbor P/N 126-1X or 12 031 for use. There was only the 5/8" and 1/2" arbors for the Model 10's which were used for saw blades, dados, buffing wheels, etc. With the introduction of the Mark 5 came the "Keyed" Arbors and 5/8" arbor P/N 22 031 would have been used for the dado. You can follow the arbor progression in the PDF's.

If clearance is a problem with the "Wobble" Dado Blade you can reverse the blade in the hub and plate assembly to have the recess towards the headstock. In this configuration you can use the current 505506 Molder/Dado Arbor (version 4) and use the 3/16" machined washers opposite the headstock to "fill in" the extra space on the shaft where it is not threaded. Do not face the machined surface of the washer against the dado blade assembly to keep the bushing from "floating" inside. Have the machined surface of the two washers face each other.

First off, your collection of arbors is awesome. Second, if not already, I think Everett should include both documents in his Google Drive.

I have some oddball arbors that your photo helped me identify, along with some I suspected were not Shopsmith, but fit anyway. I plan to go through them soon and sell the duplicates and knowing the actual part numbers will help.
