saw blade arbor
I have recently inherited a Mark V Shopsmith, I'm having fun learning how to use it. I am aware that there are numerous upgrades that can be done and will probably get around to doing those, but I was wondering if there is a 30mm arbor for the saw blades as I already have plenty of blades and dado cutters that size, but nothing other than a single rusty blade that came with the machine

No, at least made by SS. I have never seen SS arbors in metric sizes made by anyone. You may be able to find an insert to adapt the SS 1 1/4" hole arbor down to 30mm or have a machine shop make you some.Gumbo wrote:I have recently inherited a Mark V Shopsmith, I'm having fun learning how to use it. A 0.034" ring oughta do it!jsburger wrote: . . . You may be able to find an insert to adapt the SS 1 1/4" hole arbor down to 30mm or have a machine shop make you some.
I think music wire might work! #40 oughta work. Three turns.
Belay that! Wrong 'direction'!

I am guessing that you live in the UK or Europe. The Shopsmith distributor for that region is Martins Supplies, https://martins-supplies.co.uk/presta/Gumbo wrote:I have recently inherited a Mark V Shopsmith, I'm having fun learning how to use it. They have 5/8" arbors that have been modified to fit 30mm blades.
Get either the one for the Mark V-500 or the Mark V-510/520 as is appropriate for your machine.
