Plans for building mobile base?

Post by ksangrey »

Hello, Anyone know where I can find the plans for building a rolling machine base? I seen a show on TV where there are plans for one here? Thanks to anyone who can help!

Hi;
Try New Yankee Workshop and look in the archive section and I believe that there may be two or three in there for roll around tool stands. Also Wood Magazine published some. Woodmagazine.com may have them online.

I built the roll around stand from "The Garage Workshop" (number 0001) http://www.newyankee.com/getproduct.php?0001
It was designed to hold a planer and a chop saw, but mine holds a 90 lb planer and a scroll saw. Had to make the planer platform a couple inches wider to accommodate the wider planer. This took a bit away the saw platform, but it works.

Big, deep drawer and lots of storage below.
