Good Morning Everyone;
Ya Know, I've seen Shop Smith equipment on sale on different venues forever and never really thought much about them. Well yesterday I had an opportunity to buy one and did.

I'm an old goat and have a boat load of wood working tools but this model ER has amazed me on how cleverly it's made.

I've taken a few pictures and have several questions about bringing this lathe back to life. What do I have to do to load the pictures for review by all of you knowledgeable owners?

Although on your Shopsmith it says Model ER on the logo/serial number plate, it is actually a Model 10ER. Why does it say ER instead of 10ER, well that's a discussion already had on this site so I wont go into that now. The link below is a collection of information I posted on the Model 10's.

A word of caution - owning Shopsmiths can be addicting. I had wanted one most of my life. My father-in-law gave me his when down-sizing. I got hooked and now I restore older Shopsmiths as a hobby.
