Small Winter project

Post by garys »

With Winter here, I'm puttering with the woodpile again. This week I finished a small jewelry box for one of my Granddaughters. My Wife does the carving.

My Wife has to do the hard part because I don't have the talent to do it. About all I can do is cut a board and glue it.

Very nice! I hope your grandaughter is old enough to appreciate the craftsmanship — or at least that she will someday.

What is the wood? I love the figure, but can’t ID the species.

The wood is cherry. If it is like all my previous projects made from cherry, it will darken significantly in a couple of years.
