Matthew D. Holtmeier over in the Facebook Group “Shopsmith Owners Group” posed a question on May 6, 2021 relative to replacing bearings in an old belt sander. This a Private Group, independent of the Shopsmith Company itself.
You may have to be a member to view it. I don’t recall if that’s required since I have been a member there for a while.
I asked permission to share his photo of his solution.
He had worked with the Shopsmith Bearings Guide published under My Google Drive Link in the Bearings Folder.
It alone didn’t solve his installation problem the examples provided.
Using his, I envision a derivative solution for my workbench likely using pipe or bar clamps etc. even though have a hydraulic press.
Good work Matthew!
We are all about sharing ideas and many members are in both places.
Blessings everyone!
