It looks like a good system for when it came out on the market in 1979. Though I have seen mixed reviews for them on this forum in the past due to people picking them up on the used market and finding issues with them. With no replacement parts, I don't think I would invest in one unless you just have to have Shopsmith's version of it. There are more modern versions of this concept, such as the one below from MLCS that I have seen and it is reasonably priced.

I discussed this and the similar Woodhaven machine in the follow up video to my original Joint-Matic video (Now set to private for YT Channel Members only). The biggest issue with them is they have knobs or levers on the front, which would make some joinery a pain, but at least they can be purchased today. The Woodhave has the added benefit of adjusting for joints up to 9” tall. Scott

I already have one because it didn't cost much used. Even came with a decent router. I had to repair the back where the lock screw is, the crack wasn't obvious until I was re-assembling it after cleaning. But otherwise it seems to be ok and useful for my needs. It would be great if a new slide was available, the rest of it is plenty sturdy.

Is there a photo of the spacers somewhere?
The photo on the site shows them. They are basically thick plastic washers. https://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/cat ... asters.htm
Thanks, I see them.
The caster spacers are hard plastic 3/4 O.D., 1/4 I.D., X 7/16 thick. Scott mentioned earlier that the pedal used to be located nearer to the center on the Power Station etc. version of the casters but the ones I received seem to be identical to Mark casters. (Which, I know, are not all the same.) The pedals are roughly 2-5/8" from the cam, measured center to center. These were a steal at $46.XX in the last overstock sale. Came at a great time for me, I had a Power Station without casters in pieces from being painted.

This video is by no means an exhaustive review of either of these separators but is a real shop experience with both the American-made Dustopper™ and the Bauer™ 2052-BDS Cyclone Dust Separator Kit from Harbor Freight. I look forward to your Questions, Comments, and Cheap shots and we'll address them in the mid-week follow-up video.

According to Harbor Freight's listing, the BAUER™ Cyclone Dust Separator Kit for 5 Gallon Buckets attaches to your shop vac to separate heavier debris and particles before they can clog your vacuum's filter. The BAUER™ dust separator uses the same cyclone technology as industrial dust collectors and high-end vacuum cleaners to improve vacuum efficiency, prevent clogging, extend filter life.

Eliminates suction-robbing clogs by separating 99% of dust and debris
Increases the lifespan of vacuum filters
Compatible with most wet/dry vacuum hoses
Suitable for wet and dry cleanups
