It's only 30 miles away. Here in RI you gotta pack a lunch to travel that far.

Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'
This appears to be a 500 converted to 520, looks pretty clean. It's missing photos of some of the items listed and there are some boxes pictured that can't tell what's in them. Based on the wording for a few of the items, I don't believe the seller is very familiar with Shopsmiths. In the OKC area.

Bargain of the century?

I know the square-root of nothing about the Mark V Shopsmith, so take with a huge pillar of salt. But - looks ok to me. I can go get it if anyone wants it and hold for pickup.

Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'
Depends on the local prices for used machines. Doesn't look all that clean and probably missing a lot of standard components, no extras like a bandsaw or joiner. If it is in better condition than it looks and comes with a big box of other stuff it might be a bargain, but not a bargain of the century, not even the bargain of the week around here, I bought that one last night.docmirror wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 3:50 pm Bargain of the century?

You are not really tuned in to hyperbole - are you? Also, would be good to review common punctuation used in closing a sentence. Says he has more bits with it, but not shown.edma194 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 4:59 pmDepends on the local prices for used machines. Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'
Just pushing myself too hard lately and prone to running off on tangents, so a little off the mark, but my assessment stands.

I’m not sure if this is a bargain or not, but I haven’t seen one of these. Freestanding 20” Scroll saw, with foot switch. $200

Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'
I chatted with him. Not missing any 'standard components'. Comes with a drill chuck and key, sander attachment, lathe tool rest, and cutting tools, and is a low time machine from a medium small town in TX. No bearing noise. Your assessment was based on speculation, and has shown to be inaccurate.
