Delta Faucet Warranty Service

Post by DLB »

It seems that many companies don't have the same customer service focus as they used to. Delta Faucet has exceptional customer service, to include warranty issues. My kitchen faucet is in the 12 - 15 year old range and has required occasional service. I called Delta because the spout had become difficult (for me) to impossible (my wife) to swing between the two sides of the sink. My experience:
No waiting on hold. If there is a queue you can opt for them to call you back when it's your turn. Two button hits, one to request call back and one to confirm you want it on the number you are calling from.
Called within one minute of the estimated wait time.
I described the problem exactly once.
'I apologize sir, that faucet is discontinued and you need the entire spout. The assembly you need is no longer available.' (I thought this was the end.)
'Here are two similar faucets. If you'd like to select one we'll be happy to replace your faucet under warranty.'
Confirm shipping address is the one on file.
Done. The agent was pleasant throughout, a pleasure to talk to. When you talk to them you get the impression that timely repair of your faucet is their only concern.

I agree. I also have had excellent customer service from Delta on more than one occasion. ShopVac™ was similar before they went out of business unfortunately. I wish all companies would do better at customer service. IMHO if more customers held companies responsible and stopped buying from them when they don't show excellent customer service, this would all work itself out in a few years.

Don't you wish all companies (including Shopsmith) were like customer service at Delta?

I remember installing a free replacement faucet for my mother because the finish on the old one began peeling. Can't remember the brand, though.

I do remember Moen gave me excellent service. My kitchen faucet started linking, so I bought an aftermarket cartridge at the Home Depot. Of course it didn't fit. Then I did what I should've done from the beginning: I called the Moen 800 number. The faucet must've been well outside of the warranty period, and I couldn't even remember when I bought it. But, an emailed picture of the faucet got the Moen folks to send me a free replacement cartridge.

Could this be the practice for all the major brands?
