Trash can router table

I suspect that many of us have more than one router. Sometimes I have more than one sat up at a time even if they are each only doing one small part of the job and especially if there are a number of parts alike involved.
I don't know if I will use this idea or not... I just found it interesting. I like simple stuff.
I would make a hole up on the side to connect a dust collector hose.

Hmm, interesting idea. Maybe instead of drilling a hole for the cord in the can, drill it in the back of the table. Also, put a plastic garbage bag in the can to make cleanup much easier; might need some air holes in the back of the table to help keep the router cool, though.

Yes, and it would also be too low for my bad back but a plywood base plate with some 3" or 4" locking casters would help that. If more height was wanted it could be built into the setup under the table top.

What do you do with large construction debris? I don't have enough space in the trash cans to put it away.

maybe add a few slots or holes in the base so the dust would fall through ? I seem to get quite a bit of dust on the table as well . I like the idea of saving electricity over running a dust collector / in my case a vacuum sweeper / and the lack of excess noise is all ways a plus .

It's very handy. I very often encounter the problem of perpetual trash and sawdust in my workshop, but now I've figured out how I can fix it. I may have to modify the design of this garbage collector a bit, but the principle of operation I will leave the same. I don't know why I didn't think of it before. I always had a problem with small trash, but not with large trash. I rent a big dumpster and put all my work leftovers in it. After that dumpster is full, I call the company I rented it from, and they kindly take all the trash out. For me, this is the most convenient way to clean the space.
