Hi Russ, question for you or anyone else that may know -
I had to go in and tighten the lock screw on the rear bearing ring that i missed during assembly. Now that i am putting things back together i noticed there is about 3/8" of play in the arbor shaft where it slides forward and back before the 2 bearings engage with thier respective grooves in the larger pipe.
This shows how far out of the sleeve it can slide And this is with it slide in all the way Should there be that much play in the arbor?
I made sure the bearings are seated correctly on both ends of the arbor shaft.
The bearings are new, and they do have a small ridge on the ring that goes around the shaft. This ridge protrudes a small amount from the rest of the bearing, but not enough to account for this much play.
Thanks for any help!
