He! He! I just hate letters that are silent! :p
Should have guessed the 40's anyway, that's when I was motoring around on water. This outboard was obviously prior to rewind starters.

Back to this THREAD! - Your friend should be very hapy with it! That is one nifty stand! You could also do some specially designed stands for bicycles.
