It is a fairly thick piece of cast iron. I think the the weakness is in the brain of the user that keeps cranking on the screw until the part breaks when the table is not moving. The table moves very easily when things are properly maintained.HopefulSSer wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 5:05 pm If that's a weakness in them I wonder if there would be any value in placing a piece of steel rod in the well on the back of the new one and pouring it full of JB to reinforce it?

Re: 10E 131-2
As John said,
Although I cannot say for sure, I believe trying to raise the table without releasing the locks may be the cause of this type of break. Something has got to give.It is a fairly thick piece of cast iron. I think the the weakness is in the brain of the user that keeps cranking on the screw until the part breaks when the table is not moving. The table moves very easily when things are properly maintained.
