"Power Tool Woodworking for Everyone" PDF?

Post by nduanetesh »

Does anyone have a working link for the PDF download of "Power Tool Woodworking For Everyone" for the Mark V?

I've found a lot of links that are supposed to go to the page on the Shopsmith site where it can be downloaded, but apparently that page has changed and you can only buy the physical book at those links now. I have also found the extensive and impressive 10ER version of PTWFE, but would really like the Mark V version. Thanks!

It appears that they are no longer making the PDF version available online. The choice is now to buy a copy of the book either new or used. The 4th edition copyright 1989 would be the more correct version for your Mark V and is the current version sold by Shopsmith. The current one for sale has a new cover design than the original 4th edition. Below is a picture of the original 4th edition cover.

Even though the current cover shows the Mark 7 it has the same content as the original 1989 4th edition.

There are the earlier editions of the book featuring earlier Mark 5/V's. These include the 1955 2nd edition with the change to the Mark 5, the 1973 or later (unknown date) 3rd edition first one from Shopsmith Inc. and the 1984 revised edition. These three editions all feature the Mark 5/V with the original 500 Table system. These earlier editions can be found on the used book market pretty cheap at times. I have purchased copies at prices that don't even seem to cover the postage at times. Since I am also a Shopsmith collector I have copies of each of these editions. I even have a copy of the first printing of the current edition with the 7 missing pages of the Glossary and Index. I mention this in case you find a used copy for sale of the current cover 4th edition. It should have 325 pages not 316 pages.
